David C. Wallace Unit Chief, Cyber Division Federal Bureau of Investigation

FBI Special Agent David C. Wallace currently serves as a Unit Chief in the FBI’s Cyber Division where he oversees cyber intrusion investigations including threats to critical infrastructures and key resources.

Prior to his work in Cyber, Mr. Wallace was assigned to the Counterintelligence and Pittsburgh Divisions. While in Pittsburgh, he supervised the Joint Terrorism Task Force, the Domestic Terrorism, Special Surveillance Operations Teams, Hazardous Material Response Team, and Technical collection programs.

From September 2000 to March 2004, Mr. Wallace was a Program Manager in the FBI’s International Terrorism Operations Section where he managed the Foreign Emergency Support Team, which is a multi-agency immediate response team deployed overseas to provide comprehensive guidance to the U.S. Ambassador during crisis situations. Immediately following the attacks of September 11th, Mr. Wallace was assigned to the Usama Bin Laden Unit where he managed international terrorism investigations targeting Al Qaeda and was awarded the FBI Director’s Award for dismantling a terrorist group operating in the Washington, DC area.

SSA Wallace entered on duty with the FBI as a Special Agent in September 1996, and upon completion of training at the FBI Academy, Quantico, Virginia, was assigned to the Merrillville Resident Agency, Indianapolis Division. While in Indiana, he investigated complex white collar crime, public corruption, violent crimes and drug trafficking matters. In addition, Mr. Wallace served as the Coordinator of the division's Evidence Response Team.

Prior to joining the FBI, Mr. Wallace worked in the insurance and accounting industries. He has a Bachelor in Business Administration, a Master of Arts in Management and is a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Wallace has served overseas and provided training to law enforcement counterparts in over 10 countries.
